New roof, new skylights.
When a new roof was needed on this residence in Superior, CO, Expert Exteriors hired us to replace the outmoded skylights.
This was a typical deck mount replacement. Since the new skylights sit lower on the roof deck, we had to trim drywall down to the decking in order to mount the new skylights. Once the drywall is trimmed, the skylights are mounted to the deck and a layer of ice and water shield is applied around the skylights to ensure a weathertight seal between the decking and flashing.
The drywall needs to be trimmed. 
The adhesive underlayment provides a second layer of weather protection.

The new skylights represent a significant upgrade. Not only do they have a lower, sleeker profile on the roof, the glass stays cleaner and has superior thermal properties.

The new solar operated blinds represent a significant upgrade, also. Not only do they fit better, they qualify the homeowner for a 26% Federal Tax Credit for the entire skylight installation. A great selling point!
